Upon arrival in Srinagar, you will be transferred to your accommodation, either in a hotel or a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. After check-in, spend the day relaxing and exploring the stunning beauty of Dal Lake with a Shikara ride. You can also visit the Mughal Gardens like Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. In the evening, enjoy local Kashmiri cuisine at a restaurant or your houseboat.
After breakfast, begin your drive to Sonamarg. The route takes you through lush valleys and alongside the Sindh River, offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and green meadows. Once in Sonamarg, you can explore the Thajiwas Glacier and enjoy the breathtaking views of glaciers, valleys, and rivers. Relax in the peaceful surroundings and stay overnight in a guesthouse or camp.
On Day 3, head towards Kargil. The drive offers stunning views as you cross Drass, which is known as one of the coldest inhabited places in the world and is famous for the Kargil War Memorial. Once in Kargil, check into your accommodation. You can visit the War Memorial in Drass to learn about the region’s history. Overnight stay at your hotel or guesthouse in Kargil.
Today’s journey takes you through high-altitude passes, such as Fotu La and Namika La, with scenic stops at Lamayuru Monastery. As you approach Leh, enjoy the views of the Indus River and surrounding landscapes. On arrival in Leh, you will check in to your hotel or guesthouse. The evening is free to rest and explore the local markets. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, this day is dedicated to local sightseeing and acclimatization. Visit Leh Palace, the iconic Shanti Stupa, and the unique Magnetic Hill. Explore the Hall of Fame to learn about the region’s history and visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Spend the evening relaxing and adjusting to the high-altitude environment. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.
On Day 6, start your journey towards Nubra Valley, crossing the famous Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable passes. As you descend into the valley, enjoy views of the Shyok River and the Hunder Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, home to the giant Buddha statue, and explore the unique landscape. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley at a guesthouse or camp.
After breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake, one of the most picturesque spots in Ladakh. The route passes through Shyok Valley and provides breathtaking views of barren landscapes, rivers, and mountains. Upon arrival, enjoy the mesmerizing blue waters of Pangong Lake, surrounded by towering mountains. Spend time capturing the beauty of the lake, and stay overnight at a campsite or guesthouse near the lake.
After a morning at Pangong Lake, drive back to Leh. The route passes through the high-altitude Chang La pass, one of the highest motorable passes. On arrival in Leh, you can relax, do some last-minute shopping in the local markets, or visit nearby attractions. Overnight stay in Leh.
On your final day, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh Airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
