The journey begins with a drive from Delhi to Haridwar, the gateway to the gods. This ancient city is nestled on the banks of the holy Ganga River. On arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. In the evening, head to Har Ki Pauri to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti, a spiritual ritual that attracts thousands of devotees. The vibrant atmosphere and chants create an unforgettable start to your pilgrimage.

After an early breakfast, depart for Barkot, a charming hill town in Uttarkashi district. En route, you’ll pass through Mussoorie, a scenic hill station perfect for a short break. You can stop by Kempty Falls for pictures and relaxation. On arrival in Barkot, check into your hotel and rest. This peaceful town acts as a base for the Yamunotri pilgrimage and prepares you for the trek ahead.

Today is dedicated to your first Dham — Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River. After a drive to Janki Chatti, begin your 6 km trek to the Yamunotri Temple. The scenic trail is surrounded by lush pine forests and rhododendrons, with majestic Himalayan views. After darshan, return to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Known for its temples and ashrams, it’s a hub for spiritual seekers. Upon arrival, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples in North India. Spend the rest of the day exploring the town or resting at the hotel.

Early in the morning, proceed to Gangotri, the second Dham of your yatra. Nestled amidst snow-covered peaks, Gangotri is the origin of the Ganga River. The temple, situated at 3,100 meters, holds immense spiritual importance. Participate in prayers and soak in the serene atmosphere before heading back to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on a long drive to Guptkashi, a sacred town located en route to Kedarnath. The drive winds through mountain roads offering panoramic views of valleys and rivers. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax. You can visit Ardh Narishwar Temple, a unique temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Today is one of the most important legs of your journey — the pilgrimage to Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Early morning, drive to Gaurikund, the starting point of the 16 km trek. The trail is physically demanding but spiritually rewarding. Upon reaching Kedarnath, have darshan at the ancient Kedarnath Temple, nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. Stay overnight at Kedarnath in a guesthouse or camp.

Wake up early to attend morning aarti at the temple and witness the divine sunrise over the snow-capped peaks. Begin your return trek to Gaurikund and then drive back to Guptkashi. After a physically intense journey, the rest of the day is for relaxation and reflection.

Start early for Badrinath, the fourth and final Dham of your journey. En route, enjoy the views of Joshimath, Vishnuprayag, and the Alaknanda Valley. On reaching Badrinath, visit the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund (hot water spring) before darshan. The spiritual aura and pristine surroundings make this a truly divine experience.

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Delhi. You may stop briefly at Rudraprayag, Devprayag, or Rishikesh along the way. By evening or night, you’ll arrive in Delhi, bringing your sacred Char Dham Yatra to a blissful close.
