Short Itinerary

  • Day 1: Dehradun to Haridwar to Rishikesh (230 km / 7-8 hours)
  • Day 2: Rishikesh to Kedarnath (250 km drive + 16 km trek)
  • Day 3: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (16 km trek + 30 km drive)
  • Day 4: Guptkashi to Badrinath (190 km / 7-8 hours)
  • Day 5: Badrinath to Dehradun (250 km / 8-9 hours)
  • Day 6: Departure from Dehradun

Your Char Dham Yatra begins with your arrival at Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand. After your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can freshen up and rest. The calm atmosphere of Dehradun is perfect for getting into the spiritual mood of your pilgrimage. The evening is free for leisure activities. You can choose to visit Sahastradhara, the natural spring famous for its therapeutic properties, or simply enjoy a relaxing evening at your hotel. Overnight Stay: Dehradun

After breakfast, you will be driven to Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India. Haridwar is the gateway to the Char Dham circuit and a place of deep religious significance. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and then head for a visit to the iconic Har Ki Pauri, where you will witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti in the evening. The spiritual atmosphere created by the chantings, the flow of the holy Ganga River, and the thousands of lamps make this a truly divine experience. Overnight Stay: Haridwar

On Day 3, after breakfast, you will head towards Barkot, which serves as a base for your pilgrimage to Yamunotri. The journey from Haridwar to Barkot takes you through winding hill roads, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Barkot, check in to your hotel and relax for the evening. On Day 4, embark on your journey to Yamunotri, the first of the Char Dham shrines. You will drive to Janki Chatti and begin your 6 km trek (one way) to Yamunotri Temple, situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and is located amidst stunning Himalayan peaks. After breakfast, you will head to Uttarkashi, a significant town known for its temples and religious importance. The town is also a base for the pilgrimage to Gangotri. After breakfast, depart for Gangotri, the second shrine in the Char Dham circuit. The drive to Gangotri is scenic, passing through lush forests and rivers.
